Walk For a Warrior Charitable Event (November 20th)

WWPIn honor of our veterans past and present, Muskegon Lodge No. 140 of Free and Accepted Masons, invite you to “Walk Like a Warrior”, with us.

When a Marine, Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Coast Guardsmen are in training, they all are required to accomplish the physical rigors that they may be called on to perform in the extreme.

We are asking you to come join us, to march or walk 5K for these men and women, who “walk” among us now, bearing a sample of weight that they have carried for us by becoming veterans. We intend to show our appreciation through a simple act of walking with our veterans.

3 laps around Veteran’s Memorial Park Causeway is the equivalent of a 5K.

Here is what we ask of you:
1. Bring a $10 donation for the wounded warrior’s project. http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/
2. Bring a backpack loaded with weight equivalent to 10, 15, or 25 pounds.
3. Water bottle to hydrate.
4. Dress for the weather, and your style of march or walk.
5. The heart and dedication to Walk Like a Warrior.

You can keep up with information about this event by joining our event page on Facebook. If you cannot make it but still want to make a difference donate via our website’s donation page (select “Walk For a Warrior” as the Designated Fund). We will be matching dollar for dollar the donations made during this event up to $1,500. This is a great way to double the benefit of your donation.
