A few months back we hosted a public showing of the movie, The Freemason. The idea behind the showing was three fold: An excuse to get together outside of regular meetings, too support a Brother and his artistic endeavor, and most importantly to raise some money for two great causes. With that said, it should be known that we were able to raise $100 for each the Shrine’s Children’s Hospitals and the Muskegon Noah Project. With matching funds from the Grand Lodge of Michigan we were able to double that and provide each organization $200. While this is not some astonishing amount of money, we are still quite happy with the turn out and the contribution to these great causes.
As this year comes to a close and the next year begins we will be looking for more opportunities to do good in the community. Thank you for everyone that came out and supported the event! Also, a big thank you to Producer and Brother Joseph James for allowing us to host a showing of his movie. If you want to donate two either organization you can do so through the links above. Each organization does wonders; One for our two legged children, and the other for our four legged children.
