Montague-Whitehall Lodge No. 198 is hosting a Child ID event on October 11, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Senior Center in Montague. This is during Montague’s Pumpkinfest! If you missed the event Muskegon Lodge No. 140 held back in June here is your chance to get the information packet setup for your kid(s).

The CHIP program is designed to provide parents with all the information they need to help law enforcement in the event that a child goes missing.

Parents can bring their kids between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. A kit is created that contains a fingerprint card, a physical description, a video of the child talking, dental imprints, and a DNA sample. No information is retained by the Masonic organization. Once the information is gathered it is packaged and handed off to the parent so in the event that the child goes missing the parents, and law enforcement, have a solid set of identification data to help in the search of the child.

This is all provided free of cost. In a perfect world every child lives a safe and protected life with no fear of getting lost or abducted, but even if we were in a perfect world it is important to be prepared. We hope to see you there!
